Who writes it
A note on our names: HorseRoots is written by a small team under pen names, one name for each job. Jack Mt. is the name on our horse guides.
We are not vets or farriers. If a horse is lame, off its feed, hurt, or rolling and pawing with signs of colic, call your vet; for hooves and shoes, your farrier. A guide here is a starting point, not a diagnosis.
